Billy Craig Carter, age 47 of Sanford, died Thursday (7/5/2018) at the SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan UNC Hospice Home in Pittsboro. He was born in Lee County, son of Billy Joe Carter and Edna Earle Sloan Carter. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2pm at the Lemon Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Foley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lemon Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving are his parents Billy Joe and Edna Earle Carter of Sanford, NC. Wife Stephanie Solis Carter of the home. Son, Richard Craig "CJ" Carter of Sanford, NC. Daughters JoHanna Grace Carter of Texas and Brittnay Nicole Oldham of Carthage, NC. Sisters Pamela Joan Carter Mason of Sanford, NC, Penny Elaine Carter of Sanford. NC, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30-2:00pm at the Lemon Springs Baptist Church, prior to the funeral services.
