Ada Frances Brown McDuffie, age 80 of Sanford, passed away on Saturday (6/10/2023) at Parkview Retirement Center in Sanford.   She was born on July 20, 1942, daughter of the late Ozzie Alex Brown and Myrtle Frances Baker Brown.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobby McDuffie, and brothers, Milton Brown, George Brown and Tommy Brown.  Ada was a graduate of Moncure High School and was a member of Zion Chrisitan Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher and served on various committees. Funeral services will be held on Monday (6/12/2023) at 4pm at Zion Christian Church with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service in the Zion Christian Church Fellowship Hall.  Surviving are her sisters, Ola Brown Taylor and husband Russell Taylor Jr. of Moncure, NC, and Rosie Brown Smith and husband J.C. of Moncure, NC.  Sister-in-laws,  Carol Brown of Moncure, NC , JoAnn Massei Orant and husband Steve Ornat of Greensboro, NC and several nieces and nephews.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com  Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
