Altie Johnson Hunter McDuffie, age 90 of Broadway, died Friday (5/11/2018) at Peak Resources Pinelake in Carthage. She was born in Hoke County, daughter of the late Kirby Lee Johnson and Idella Hall Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Laurin "Fid" Hunter and Harold McDuffie, sister Jessie Heath and son Bobby Laurin Hunter. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church and was a resident of Broadway for over seventy years. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday at Crossroads Church with Pastor John Sauls and Pastor John McVay officiating. Burial will follow in the Shallow Well Church Cemetery. Surviving is her daughter Annie Hunter Collins and husband Jerry B. Collins of Broadway, NC. Son , Donny Lee Hunter and wife Rebecca of Broadway, NC. Sister Doris J. Smith of Sanford, NC and brothers Buddy Johnson of Olivia, NC, Kirby Johnson Jr. and wife Barbara of Sanford, NC and Ronnie Johnson and wife Sharon of Sanford, NC. Six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at Crossroads Church.
