Arleen Shaver Stone, age 82 of Broadway, passed away on Saturday (11/22/2025) at Parkview Retirement Center with her family by her side.  She was born on November 19, 1943, daughter of the late Paul Ogden Shaver and Anna Loreen Stephens Shaver.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Arleen, was a registered nurse of more than forty years, who always said she was called by God into the medical profession.  She retired from Central Carolina Hospital and was a member of the Woman's Club of Broadway.  She was an avid reader, and had a beautiful voice, singing in the church choir and community chorus for many years.  She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed rocking her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rev. Dr. Harold M. Stone of the home.  Daughters, Michelle "Missi" Stone Walker and husband Chuck of Florida, Angie Stone Greathouse of South Carolina, and Amy Stone Keel and husband Don of Georgia; sisters, Lynda Henry of Alabama, Paula Oliver of Kentucky, Judy Wilhoyte of Georgia and Laura Beville of Kentucky; brother, Keith Shaver of Texas; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday (11/29/2025) at 11am at the Broadway Town Cemetery with Rev.
