Arlina Faye Scales, age 65, of Sanford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on December 21, 2025.  She was born February 11, 1960, in Arcata, California, daughter of Delbert and Alice Gwinn Curtice. She was preceded in death by her father and daughter, Shannon Scales.  Arlina was steadfast and committed to her faith in Jesus Christ and never wavered from Him. She had a deep love for her children and encouraged them to be positive and unselfish. She taught that lesson by going far beyond her call to just be a mother. She and her husband Geoffery opened their home to foster children with love and compassion. Her glass was always half full, positive that everything would work out for the best. Arlina had a love for animals that one might say was immeasurable. From the dogs, cats, chickens or goats, she loved and cared for them all. Sewing and gardening were among the other skills she found satisfaction involving herself with. She is survived by her husband, Geoffrey Scales of the home; her mother Alice Curtice of Arcata California. Daughters Erika Adams of Fuquay-Varina, Correna Ambrose of Sanford and Ariel Domenech of Woodbridge, VA. Son; Jairus Scales of Sanford. Sister; Lynn Griffith of Delhi, CA. Brother; Delbert Curtice of Delhi, CA. Seven Grandchildren; Chloe Adams, Aidan Scales, Jenna Adams, Michael Domenech, Finnegan Adams, Reagan Adams and Kennedy Adams. One Great-Grandchild; Brynnlee Adams.
