Arthur Curtis "A.C." Moss Jr. age 87 of Southern Pines, died Monday (1/28/2013) at Penick Village in Southern Pines. He was born in Newport News, Virginia, son of the late Arthur Curtis Moss Sr. and Laura Lane Williams Moss. He was a World War II Veteran, having served with the United States Navy. He was a retired Special Agent with the United States Treasury Department/ATF and also served as a Trooper with the Virginia State Police. He was a Member of Independent Orange Lodge No. 138 AF&AM in Orange, Virginia and a member of Jamil Shrine and the Aiken County Shrine Club. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday March 2, 2013 at the Chapel of the Transfiguration at Penick Village with Rev. Patsy Smith officiating. Surviving are his wife of 65 years Bessie Lenora "B.W." Wilt Moss of Southern Pines, NC; Daughters Laura Moss Phillips of Sanford, NC and Linda Moss Leonard (Mike) of Cleveland, TN; Sister Martha Francis Powell of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and grandchildren Jennifer Phillips Williams (Anthony S.), Laura Drumm Edrington (Doug), Blair Phillips Nail (Jordan) and Arthur Scott Drumm. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
