Arthur Joseph Lowe, age 62 of Sanford, passed away on Thursday (6/11/2020) at his home.  He was born in Berkley Co., South Carolina on November 22, 1957, son of Frances Mae Mims Lowe and the late Arthur Glover Lowe.  He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother Ernest Glenn Lowe.  Arthur loved sports, especially UNC Basketball, definitely not Duke Basketball and he loved Clemson and not the big chicken.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2pm at the Juniper Springs Baptist Church with Rev. John Hackney officiating.  Burial will follow in the Juniper Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Surviving is his mother, Frances Lowe of Charleston, SC.  His wife, Elaine Warner Lowe of Sanford, NC.  Sisters, Penny Wright and Cathy West of Charleston, SC.  Brothers, Barry Lowe of North Charleston, SC and Shawn Lowe of Summerville, SC, four nephews,  two nieces, and furry children Ziggy, Zeke, Zoey, Zip, Wally, O.C., Mr. Socks and Socks.   Friends and family may come to the funeral home on Sunday (6/14/2020) from 10am-12pm to sign the register and pay their respects.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed at the church during the service.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
