Bennie LeRoy Norris, age 44 of Broadway, died Saturday (5/18/2019) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.  He was born in Lee County, son of Barbara Thomas Norris and the late Jessie B. Norris.  He was preceded in death by his father.  Bennie worked for Dell Technology as a production coordinator.  Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 3 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris Pipes officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lee Memory Gardens.  He is survived by his mother Barbara Thomas Norris of the home.  Brothers Terry Lewis Norris and his sons Tyler and Kerry Norris of Sanford, NC and Jessie Brian Norris of Broadway, NC and his daughter Megan Norris and granddaughter, Harper of Dallas, TX; and Bennie's beloved Boston Terrier Ralph.   The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm, one hour prior to the funeral service at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.  In lieu of flowers the family request memorials are made to the Cool Springs United Methodist Church, PO Box 617  Mamers, NC 27552.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
