Bessie Dean Holder West, age 91 of Sanford, died Wednesday (8/26/2015). She was born in Harnett County, daughter of the late James Holder and Zillie Mae West Holder. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Margie Mae Gregory, her first husband Willie Thomas Gregory, her second husband Warren West and her sister Dora Norris. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Friday at the Calvary Missionary Methodist Church with Rev. Curtis Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memory Gardens. Surviving are her daughters Bonnie Lou Calcutt and husband Jimmy of Sanford, NC, Brenda Brady Holder and husband Wayne of Sanford, NC, Nancy Fields and husband Robert of Carthage, NC, Connie Honeycutt and husband Allen of Vass, NC and Teresa Baker and husband Billy of Sanford, NC; Son Willie Hubert Gregory and wife Joyce of Erwin, NC; Sister Della Norris and husband Rev. Earl Norris of Sanford, NC; Fifteen grandchildren and Twenty- four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
