Betty White Knight, age 83 of Sanford, died Monday (3/2/2015) at Sanford Health and Rehab. She was born in Guilford County, daughter of the late James William White and Myrtle Durham White Keister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brother William White and Granddaughter Janet Marie Young. There will be no services held. Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Robert L. Knight of the home; Daughters Brenda Hunt (Wayne) of Prospect Hill, NC, Linda Johnson of Sanford, NC and Diane Oldham (David) of Moncure, NC; Sons Robert "Bobby" Knight of Sanford, NC and James William "Jimmy" Knight (Pam) of Salisbury, NC; Sister Joyce Bianchi of Melbourne, Florida; six grandchildren, two great- grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
