Betty Ruth Godfrey Thomas, age 85 of Broadway, passed away on Friday (5/2/2025) at Siler City Center in Siler City.  She was born on August 22, 1939, daughter of the late Dave Godfrey Sr. and Hattie Butler Godfrey.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clayron "Mickey" Thomas Sr.; brothers, Dave Godfrey Jr., Roland Godfrey, Louis Godfrey, and Alvin Godfrey; sister, Laura Mae Godfrey Holder; and her special friend of many years, William Moore.  Betty Ruth was a member of Barbecue Presbyterian Church, enjoyed working in the garden and loved horses.  She is survived by her son, Clayron A. Thomas, Jr. of California; sisters-in-law, Martha Godfrey of Hubert, NC and Margaret Jones of Raleigh, NC; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.
