Billy Gene Dickens Jr. age 53 of Sanford, died Thursday (4/2/2015) at his home. He was born in Lee County, son of Billy Gene Dickens Sr. and Eula Griffin Cummings. He was preceded in death by his brother Sammy Dickens. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday at the Southside Baptist Church in Broadway with Rev. Tom Welborn and Rev. Garland Smith officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Baptist Chapel Church Cemetery. Surviving is his father Billy Gene Dickens Sr. of Broadway, NC; Mother Eula Griffin Cummings of Sanford, NC; Daughter Brittany Gustafson and husband Brian of Pensacola, Florida; Brothers Chris Atkins of Broadway, NC and Nathan Dickens of Raleigh, NC; One granddaughter Brynli Gustafson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
