Bobby Eugene Wicker, age 78 of Sanford, died Tuesday (1/27/2015) at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. He was born in Lee County, son of the late Levi Kendall Wicker and Lucille Atkins Wicker. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Catherine Wilson Wicker and daughter Cindy Ann Wicker. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00pm Friday at the Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are his daughter Gina Catherine Wicker of Sanford, NC; Sisters Helen Weathers and husband Harold, Elizabeth "Lib" Pilson and husband Jimmy and Faye Rosser all of Sanford, NC; Brothers Jack Wicker and wife Joyce, and Cecil Wicker of Sanford, NC and Two grandchildren, Tara Gabrielle Wicker and Jordan William Wade. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the Holly Springs Baptist Church multi-purpose building.
