Brandon Keith Jewell, age 42 of Sanford, passed away on Monday (7/18/2022) at his home.  He was born in Moore County, son of David Jewell and Louise Black Thomas.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lloyd Black and paternal grandparents, Wilfred Jewell and Maria Jewell.  At the age of twenty-two, Brandon was paralyzed from injuries he received in an automobile accident.  Despite the challenges he faced, he lived independently maintaining his own home.  He was a proud member of Back in the Woods, a foundation for handicapped hunters and loved to go hunting with his best friend Bud Frye.  Brandon had a big heart and loved spending time with this family and friends.   Surviving is his maternal grandmother, Ernestine Black of Sanford, NC.  Mother, Louise Black Thomas and husband Steve of Sanford, NC.  Father, David Jewell of Sanford, NC.  Sister, Amanda Jewell Holt and husband Alex of Goldston, NC.  Brothers, Alex Jewell and wife Savanna of Sanford, NC and Derek Howard and wife Koni of Olivia, NC.  Step-sister, Shannon Thomas of Sanford, NC.  Nieces Katie Robichaud, Jessica Bowles, Eliza Holt, Lexi Holt, Kadience Howard and nephews Simon Howard and Israel Howard.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30pm Saturday at Crossroads Ministries in Broadway with Rev.
