Brenda Lucas Bowman, age 59 of Star, died Friday (11/25/2016). She was born on October 8, 1957, daughter of the late Marvin Lucas and Erlene Bennett Lucas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Shirley Hancock and Deborah Bennett. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Monday at the Fork of Little River Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are her husband Harlus Ricky Bowman of the home, Daughter Crystal Lynn Kellam of Star, NC and son William Michael Bowman of Star, NC; Sister Peggy Lucas Warren of Maryville, Tenn. And brother William Gary Lucas of Oak Ridge, NC; Five grandchildren Kaitlyn Gunter, Destiny Bowman, Taegan Kellam, Jodi Bowman and Davian Kellam. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Sunday evening at the Phillips Funeral Home in Star.
