Carlie McLean Sloan, age 95 of Broadway, died Friday (8/24/2018) at his home. He was born in Harnett County, son of the late Garland Sloan and Blanch Lett Sloan. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Fred and Frank Sloan. Sister, Nettie Bell Sloan Gardner and his wife Lucille Autry Sloan. Carlie was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church for many years. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Monday, (8/27/2018) at the Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Yow and Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving is his son Herby and wife Betty of Hoffman, NC. Daughters, Jackie Patterson Smith and husband JR of Sanford, NC and Patsy Patterson Erwin and husband John of Kinston, NC.   Sister, Evaline Sloan Thomas of Sanford, NC. Three grandsons, seven great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren. Companion Louise Chabot, best friend and caregiver Willie Buie, several nieces, nephews, and many friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Sunday evening at the Holly Springs Baptist Church Multi-purpose building.
