Carolyn Ann McNeill Harrington, age 92 of Broadway, passed away on Friday (7/17/2026) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.  She was born in Harnett County, daughter of the late Cyrus McNeill and Flora Antionette Sloan McNeill.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry Harrington; brothers, James McNeill, Dick McNeill, Bob McNeill, Phillip McNeill, Fred McNeill and her sister, Dorothy McNeill Wood.  Carolyn retired after working many years at Broadway Elementary School as a teacher's assistant.  She loved teaching the little children and helping them learn.  She enjoyed cooking for her family, watching her daily soap operas and babysitting her grandchildren.  She loved her animals and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds.  She is survived by her son, David Harrington (Cathy Patterson) of Broadway, NC; daughter, Jane Harrington Quist of Broadway, NC and her grandchildren, Paula Ann Harrington, Payton Quist and Brittney War Bonnett.  The family will receive friends beginning at 3pm on Monday (7/20/2026) at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.  A graveside service will follow at 4pm at the Broadway Town Cemetery with Rev.
