Charles Allen Jones, age 56 of Sanford, died Tuesday (7/12/2016) at his home. He was born in Lee County, son of the late James William "Bill" Jones Sr. and Flora Lawhon Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Jane Jones Dixon. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was a graduate of East Carolina University. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 am at the Broadway United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike McVey officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Broadway Town Cemetery. Surviving are his wife Tammy McDonald Jones of the home; Sons Phillip Jones and James Andrew Jones of the home and his brother James W. Jones Jr. and wife Rose of Boiling Springs Lake, NC. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
