Christopher Wayne Womack, age 43 of Sanford, died Monday (4/4/2022) at Duke University Medical Center in Durham.  He was born on April 11, 1978 in Lee County, son of Anthony "Tony" Womack and Betty Holder Woody.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Geneva Key, Britton Wesley Womack; and his maternal grandfather, Wayne Holder.  Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Yow and Rev. Jerry Parsons, officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Surviving is his father, Anthony "Tony" Craig Womack and wife Teresa of Broadway, NC. Mother, Betty Elaine Holder Woody of Moncure, NC.  Daughter, Krystal Renee Womack of Broadway, NC and Ashley K. Womack of Pittsboro, NC.  Son, Christopher James Womack of Broadway, NC.  Brother, Britton James Womack of Sanford, NC, Step-brothers, Jason Fletcher Powers and wife Robyn of Sanford, NC and Claude Gregory Powers and wife Tonya of Dunn, NC.  Maternal grandmother, Betty Lee Henderson of Moncure, NC and grandson, Brayden Carr Harrington.  The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45pm Sunday at Holly Springs Baptist Church.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
