Clair W. Stickel, age 86 of Broadway, died Sunday (12/14/2014) at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation. He was the son of the late John W. Stickel and Margaret Douglas Stickel. He was employed by the N.C. State Highway Department and Coca Cola Bottling Company. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday
(12/17/2014) at 3:00 pm at the Juniper Springs Baptist Church with Pastor John Hackney officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Broadway Town Cemetery. Surviving are his wife Rachel Kelly Stickel of the home; Sisters Mabel Degraw and Hazel Cooper of New Castle, PA; many nieces and nephews; Sister in law Lou Roberts and husband Dewey Roberts; Brother in law James Kelly and wife Melba Kelly. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
