Dallas Hardy Sr. age 79 of Goldston, died Wednesday (12/20/2017) at his home. He was born in Moore County, son of the late James Henry Hardy and Alberta Wilson Hardy. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Elizabeth Hardy and his daughter Gaynelle Cox. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with Rev. Garland Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Cool Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Surviving are his daughters, Mary Hardy McNeill and Jimmy of Broadway, NC, Libby Hardy Smith of Lexington, NC and Rita Faye Hardy and June Sharp of Sanford, NC. Son Dallas Hardy Jr. and wife Nancy of Goldston, NC and Sister Linda Hardy of Lexington, NC. Thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
