David (Dave) Allen Keiser Sr., 77, beloved husband, of Sylvia (Gorski) Keiser, for over 40 years passed away peacefully on Monday, October 11, 2021, while under the care of the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Dave was born on March 28, 1944, in Bridgeport Connecticut, son of the late Ervin Charles and Mary (Nemeth) Keiser.  Predeceased by his brothers, Irving Keiser, Martin Keiser Sr. and Dennis Keiser as well as his sisters, Mary Lou Becker and Edith Zaborowski.  He is lovingly remembered by his brothers Robert Keiser (Sandi) of Clayton NC and Howard (Butch) Keiser Sr. (Maureen) of Sanford NC.

Predeceased by his sons, Stephen Keiser, Darren Keiser and Christopher Keiser. Survived by sons, David Keiser Jr. of Rhode Island and Robert Keiser of South Carolina and daughters Denise Hames (Harold) of Seymour Connecticut and Renee Hubbard (Ben) of Scotts Michigan. As well as sister in-law, Julie Ackerman of West Hartford Connecticut and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dave worked in the Asphalt Paving Business for more than 50 years and delivered oil throughout Fairfield County in Connecticut.  Dave and Sylvia lived in Seymour, Connecticut before retiring to Broadway, North Carolina.

Dave loved animals and was a dog's best friend.  He would carry treats in his vehicle to share with any little furry friend along his travels.  He always ensured strays were well fed in the neighborhood and treated the neighbor's dog like family.

Besides his love for animals, his favorite past times included metal detecting along the beach searching for hidden treasures and dreaming of hitting it big whether playing at the casino or his lottery scratchers. He also enjoyed working out at the gym with his brother.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial s donations in Dave's memory be made to the Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption, online ( Donation Information (cara-nc.org) or by mail - PO Box 2642, Sanford NC 27331.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are private at the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway NC.
