David Wayne Kelly, age 63 of Sanford, died Monday (1/17/2022) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.  He was born on November 7, 1958, son of the late Oscar Wayne Kelly and Rebecca Jo Sharpe Kelly.  He was preceded in death by his parents. David will be remembered for the time he devoted to youth in the Broadway Community, through his time coaching Broadway Baseball teams.  He was farmer for many years with his family at Kelly Farms.    Surviving is his wife, Tamara W. Kelly of the home.  Daughters, Hayley K. Loman (Patrick) of Mebane, NC, Kaitlyn Rebecca Jo Kelly of Chapel Hill, NC, Britney A. Ellis (Travis) of Sanford, NC and Kerri L. Eikost (Chad) of Danville, VA.   Son, Joshua W. Kelly (Amber) of Sanford, NC; brother, Daniel "Buffalo" Kelly (Kim) of Broadway, NC and grandchildren, Brittany Eikost, Brooklyn Eikost, Brennan Loman, Reagan Herring, Piper Kelly, Kelly Ellis, Aniston Ellis and Levi Ellis.  The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, (1/20/22) at 4:00pm at Juniper Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Thomas and Pastor Scott Yow officiating.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
