David Andrew Serina, age 86, of Lillington passed away on February 2, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 22, 1939 in Plainfield, New Jersey son of the late Simon Peter and Mary Orvace Serina. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia Coggins Serina and his sister Katherine Serina. David was an example of a true American patriot. He served in the US Marine Corp, US Army, and retired from the US Air Force. He went on to work and retire from both Xerox and Paytel Telephone Corp. As a Master Beekeeper, he served as the President of the Harnett County Beekeepers Association and an active member of the North Carolina Beekeepers Association. He is survived by sisters Maryann Joan Serina of Maryland, Joyce Hannan (Stephen) of Colorado, and Annette Semasko (Fred) of Florida; brothers Donald George Serina (Sharon) of Colorado, James John Serina (Jan) of Florida, Richard R. Serina of California and special friends who were like family, Matthew and Tami Lynch and their children. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday March 7th, 2026 at 2:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church located on Bethel Baptist Church Road, Spring Lake, NC. with Rev.
