Donald Robert Blankenship, age 53 of Lillington, passed away on Saturday (4/2/2022).  He was born in Lee County, son of the late Robert Donald Blankenship and Marie Violet Knight.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Edward Ray Moore.  Donald will be laid to rest on Thursday (4/14/2022) at 2:00pm, at a graveside memorial service at Lee Memory Gardens in Sanford.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday (4/13/2022) from 6-8pm at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.  Surviving are his sisters, Sharon Thomas and husband Ricky of Sanford, NC and Sylvia Moore of Broadway, NC; Brothers, Steve Burns and wife Michelle of Mamers, NC and Ricky Moore of Lillington, NC.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
