Donald Watts Harrington, age 82 of Broadway, died Wednesday (12/18/2013) at his home. He was born in Harnett County on December 11, 1931, son of the late Grover Cleveland Harrington and Irene McNeill Harrington McLeod. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his step-father, Ned McLeod. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, was a member of the American Legion and was an Elder and member of the Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Saturday at the Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church with Rev. Doug Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are his wife of 54 years Margaret Rosser Harrington of the home; Sons Gary Harrington and wife Charlotte of Sanford, NC and Darryl Harrington and wife Tanya of Broadway, NC; Step-Brother T. Bragg McLeod of Charlotte, NC and Step-Sister Mildred Harrington of Broadway, NC; Grandchildren Grayson Harrington, Kylie Harrington and Jackson Harrington. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
