Doris Stephenson Lee, age 92 of Lynchburg, VA, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday (12/1/2023) at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on July 22, 1931, daughter of the late James Percy Stephenson and Beulah Flowers Stephenson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon C. Lee, son, Glenn Lee, daughter-in-law Linda Lee, one sister and two brothers. Doris was a longtime member of the Second Baptist Church and later joined the Cedar Falls Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Garden Club and worked for many years as a beautician in Fayetteville. She enjoyed spending time with her family, which was very important to her, and gardening. Surviving are her sons, James V. Lee and wife Kim of Lynchburg, VA, Thomas J. Lee and wife Debi of Fayetteville, NC and David S. Lee of Holly Springs, NC. Grandchildren, Christy, Melissa, Tommy, Suzi, Alan, Savannah, Glenn, Chris and ten great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Saturday evening (12/09/2023) at the Jernigan Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday (12/10/2023) at 3:00pm at Roselawn Cemetery, 605 N. Wall Street, Benson, NC. with Rev.
