Dorothy Jean Holt Stevens, age 81 of Sanford was called home on (3/1/17) at Westfield Nursing and Rehab. Mrs. Stevens was born in Lee County to the late Rufus Henry Holt and Josephine Angeline Griffin Holt. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ed Stevens, Sisters Wilma Hunter and Gaynelle Holt; brothers JR Holt and Winfred Holt. Surviving is one brother Frank Holt of Asheboro, NC and Sister Camilla White of Broadway, NC. Nieces Yvonne Gales, Dana Currin, Brenda Sadehi, Mary Ann Holt, Diane Simpson and Debra Bapat. Nephews Mike Hunter, Ross Holt, Bernie (Buck) Buchanan, Chris Holt and Ronald Stevens. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 2:00pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with Rev. Mike McVey officiating. Burial will follow in the Broadway Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm, one hour prior to the funeral service at the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
