Dorothy Caldwell Mason, age 90 of Broadway, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.  She was born in Marion County, Tennessee, daughter of the late Manuel Caldwell and Nancy Gillam Caldwell.  She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Margaret Meeks, Elsie Edwards, Johnny Caldwell, Margie Gillam, and Sara Evelyn Lathan; her sons, Thomas Womack and Delbert Womack; daughter, Peggy Gaines and great-grandson, Alfredo Manuel Gomez.  Dorothy loved to sew, cook, crochet and always made it a priority to read her bible.  She enjoyed working in the garden and always liked to stay busy.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and loved spending time with her family.  She is survived by her children, Nancy Rochelle and husband Richard of Broadway, NC and William Glenn Womack and wife Pam of Broadway, NC; sister, Barbara Baker of Dechard, TN; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.  The family will receive friends on Friday (1/30/2026) from 1-2pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway.  Funeral service will be conducted at 2pm with Rev.
