Dorothy Jean "Sissy" Wilson Brafford, age 70 of Sanford, passed away at her home on Thursday (11/17/2022) with her family by her side.  She was born on December 8, 1951, daughter of the late Sherwood Wilson and Doris Knight Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Grady Brafford, brothers, Donnie Wilson, Jim Wilson, Snowball Wilson, Larry Wilson and Peanut Wilson.  Sisters, Lumpy Wilson and Barbara Ann Wilson.  Dorothy enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her children.  The family will receive friends on Monday (11/21/2022) from 12:00-2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.  Surviving is her husband of 43 Years, George Brafford of the home.  Sons, Michael and Gene Brafford of Sanford, NC.  Sister, Betty "Moe" Wilson Dennis of Lillington, NC and brother Harold Wilson of Sanford, NC.  Granddaughter, Samantha Leane Brafford and special nieces, Patricia Dowd Torres and Belinda Merritt and husband Joe.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
