Douglas Thomas Campbell, age 54, of Sanford, died Friday (9/7/2012) at Central Carolina Hospital. He was born on July 26, 1958, son of Lynn Campbell and the late Peggy Thomas Campbell. He was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Thomas Campbell and was a member of the Poplar Springs United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday at the Poplar Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Fallon Melvin Jr. officiaiting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are his father Lynn Campbell of Sanford, NC; Wife Linda Stone Campbell of the home; Daughters Megan V. Campbell of the home and Heather Carroll and husband Chris of Sanford,NC; Son Bryan W. Campbell of the home; Brother Roger Campbell and wife Barbara Jean of Sanford, NC and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the funeral services. Arrangments are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
