Edith Saunders Boggs, age 76 of Broadway, died Saturday (8/28/2021) at Beacon Place Hospice in Greensboro.  She was born in Lee County, daughter of the late Thomas Robert Saunders and Barbara Belle Thomas Saunders.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband George Bennett Boggs.  Edith was a member of Antioch Baptist Church for many years.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday (9/1/2021) at Antioch Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends in the sanctuary from 12pm-2pm, prior to the funeral service and other times at the family home in Broadway.   Surviving are her sons, Bennett Boggs and Bruce Boggs of Stoneville, NC.  Sisters, Helen Saunders Parrott of Greenville, NC, Margaret "Peggy" Saunders Knight of Sanford, NC, Clemetta Rosa Saunders of Sanford, NC and several nieces and nephews.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
