Edward Maze Howard, age 75 of Sanford, died Tuesday (12/25/2018) at his home. He was born on December 18, 1943, son of the late Roland Maze Howard and Elnora Thomas Howard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Nellie H. Weathers and brother J. Stanley Howard. Edward worked for forty plus years with Sanford Produce/JT Davenport before retiring from Coremark. He was also a farmer and enjoyed spending time on his tractor in the fields growing various crops. He was a member of Baptist Chapel Church where he served on the Deacon Board. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Thursday (12/27/2018) at Baptist Chapel Church with Rev. Alex Smith and Rev. George Stallings officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Donna S. Howard of the home. Son Tommy Howard and wife Jennifer C. Howard of Sanford, NC. Sister Grace H. Boggs of Sanford, NC and grandsons Nicholas R. Howard and Tanner W. Howard both of Sanford. Great nephew Brian R. Crissman and wife Lindsay J. Crissman of Sanford, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Baptist Chapel Church Fellowship Hall.
