Elizabeth “Beth” Morton Sanderford Castonguay, age 69 of Sanford, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Richmond County Hospice Haven in Rockingham. She was the daughter of the late, John Fenner Sanderford and Marion Boyd Morton. Beth enjoyed her work in the medical field for over 20 years at Parkview Retirement Center. She cared for patients as a nursing assistant and enjoyed meeting the families throughout the years. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Nicole Crissman of Sanford, NC; twin brother, Jack Sanderford of Sanford, NC and her “Special Sister” Toni Lynn Hart of Sanford, NC. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at 1pm at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway. A celebration of life service will follow at 2pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Daniel McNeill officiating.
