Epifania Carranza Torres, age 84 of Sanford, died Thursday (6/23/2022) at her home.  She was born in Mexico, daughter of the late Inez Carranza and Jeronima Torres.  Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30am Saturday (7/2/2022) at St. Stephens Catholic Church with Father Baiju officiating.  Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.  Surviving is her husband, Pedro Aguirre of Mexico.  Daughters, Reina Aguirre Carranza (Fabiel Cabrera ) of Sanford, NC, Maria Aguirre Carranza (Juan Mariano) of Sanford, NC  and Candida Aguirre Carranza  (Gerardo Valente) of Sanford, NC.  Sons, Noe Aguirre (Geraldine Aguirre) of Georgia, Evedo Aguirre Carranza (Julia Arcos) of Mexico, Alejandro Aguirre (Evarista Aguirre) of Sanford, NC, Daniel Aguirre Carranza of Pennsylvania, and Rene Aguirre (Berenice Xalazar) of Texas.  Sister, Isaias Carranza of Mexico.  Brothers Feliciano Carranza and Rudolfo Carranza of Mexico.  Thirty-five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Friday (7/1/2022) at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
