Everett William Jones Sr., age 66 of Broadway, died Tuesday (7/16/2013) at Duke Unviersity Medical Center in Durham. He was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, son of the late Henry Clark Jones and Alice Elizabeth Everett Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Graveside memorial service with military honors will be conducted at 12:00pm Wednesday (7/24/2013) at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake with Father Robert Ippolito officiating. Surviving are his wife Lydia Jones of the home; Daughters Brigit Ann Stephens (David) of Lillington, NC and Christina Jones of Broadway, NC; Sons Everett William "Billy" Jones Jr. of Lillington, NC, Paul Scott Jones of Lillington, NC, Scott Everett Jones of North Port, NY and Richard James Jones of Garner, NC; Sisters Marlene Walsh (Thomas) of Sanford, NC, Peggy Breene of Greenlawn, NY and Linda Jones of East Northport, NY; Brother Henry Jones of Manorville, NY; Grandchildren Shannon Melanie Cordero, Dylan Scott Jones, Paul Jones Jr. Skyla Renee Jones, Anthony James Holleman and Christopher Clarence Holleman. The family will receive friends at their home. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
