Frank Bertus Maddox, age 83 of Sanford, passed away on Saturday (11/11/2023) at The Laurels of Chatham.  He was born on February 22, 1940, son of the late William J. Maddox and Nina Womack Maddox.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Watson Maddox, Sisters, Elizabeth Maddox McWaters, Kathleen Dennis McWaters, Mazie Maddox, Sally Maddox Williams and Brother-in-law, Henry McWaters.  He enjoyed going fishing and traveling with his family.  Frank loved his dogs and cats and taking walks around his family land.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Tuesday at Juniper Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Surviving are several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com  Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
