Franklin Richard Johnson, age 59 of Broadway, died Thursday (9/19/2019) at First Health Hospice Center in Pinehurst.  He was born on March 2, 1960, son of the late Joffre Lance Johnson and Ruby Rowena Turner Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Peggy Johnson, Brother Joffre Lance Johnson Jr. and granddaughter Destiny Gladden.  Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garland Smith officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the Broadway Town Cemetery.  Surviving are Dian Johnson, his children Marsha Diane Johnson, Barbara McNamara and Adam Johnson (Melynda).  Sisters Patsy Payne (Bob), Brenda Bordwell, Rachel Pattishall Badders (Doug), Margaret Lemons (Jerry), and Faye Conklin.  Brothers Lonnie Johnson (Shirley), Glenn Johnson (Gloria), Clint Johnson, Jerry Johnson (Judy), Allen Johnson (Claudia),  and ten grandchildren.
