Frederick James "Jim" Shearin, age 75 of Sanford, died Wednesday, (3/5/2014) at Hospice of Wake County. He was born in Halifax County, son of the late Fred James Shearin and Sally Bett Carroll Shearin. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and United States Air Force. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. Surviving are his wife Sharon MacCarrick Shearin of the home; Children, Delores Ann Webb of Saxapahaw, NC, Glenn Alan Shearin and wife Heidi of Sanford, NC, William Thomas Schuman of Savannah, GA , Jack Anthony Schuman of Savannah, GA and Barbara Jean Dill of Canon City, Colorado; Seven grandchildren. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
