Geneva Buchanan Key, age 83 of Broadway, passed away on Wednesday (3/4/2020) at her home.  She was born on January 7, 1937, daughter of the late Edgar Jefferson Buchanan and Beulah Hallman Buchanan.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Callie Wilson and Beatrice Adams, and her son Jeffrey Scott Womack. Geneva worked for many years at Cornell Dubilier and later at Convalescent Center of Sanford.   She was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church and always had a smile on her face.  She loved visiting with neighbors and friends and never met a stranger.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Saturday at the Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Yow and Rev. Wayne O'Quinn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  She is survived by her sons Thomas Edgar "Slick" Womack and Anthony Craig "Tony" Womack and wife Teresa Womack.  Sister Faye Richardson and husband Eugene.  Grandsons Christopher Wayne Womack and Britton James Womack.  Grand-daughters Ashely Knight and Rebecca Fuller; step-grandsons Jason Fletcher Powers, Claude Gregory Powers, seven great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8pm at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
