George Michael Watson, age 61, of Sanford, died Sunday (7/29/2012) at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Lee County, son of the late William Otis Watson and Ruby Spencer Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers and sisters, William Otis Watson Jr., Ola Elizabeth Miller, Jacqueline Violet Faucette, Clinton Edward "Tex" Watson, Jesse Fernando Watson and Mary Ruth Watson. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Wednesday at the Watson Family Cemetery in Sanford with Rev. Ralph Baker officiating. Surviving are his sister Dorothy Jane Brantley of Sanford, NC and brothers Ralph James Watson and Charles Larry Watson, both of Sanford, NC.
