Glenn Herbert Smith, age 78 of Sanford, passed away Tuesday (12/21/2021) at Sanford Health and Rehab.  He was born in Chatham County, son of the late Jessie Clarence Smith and Annie Parker Smith.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Surviving is his wife, Shirley Cagle Smith of Sanford, NC.  Daughters, Cheryl Baker and husband Johnny of Cameron, NC and Kelli Homesley and husband Keith of Mebane, NC.  Sister, Nancy Gaines of Sanford, NC, Four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Online condolences can be made at
