Hellen Wilkie McDuffie, age 73 of Broadway, died Tuesday (9/29/2015) at her home. She was born in Chatham County, daughter of the late Robert Odell Wilkie and Kate Gaines Wilkie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Odell Wilkie and her husband Ray McDuffie. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Friday at the Broadway Baptist Church with Rev. John Sauls and Dr. Larry Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in the Broadway Town Cemetery. Surviving are her daughter Natalie McDuffie Davis and husband Robert of Sanford, NC; son Stephen McDuffie and wife Donna of Broadway, NC; Sisters Faydene Goins of Goldston, NC and Dale Calcutt of Nashville, NC; Brother Ronnie Wilkie of Goldston, NC; Three grandchildren, Levi Davis, Walker McDuffie and Hannah McDuffie. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
