Holly Beth Thiedemann, age 72 of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday (8/2/2023) at her home.  She was born on February 10, 1951, daughter of the late Daniel William MacPherson and Theresa Rafaniello MacPherson.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Holly enjoyed feeding the birds and gardening.  She also loved to crochet, arts and decoupage.  She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Detlev Thiedemann of the home.  Daughters, Dana Moonan and husband Michael of Charlotte, NC, and Laura Thiedemann of New York City.  Sister, Jan Lawrence of Sanford, NC and grandchildren, Emily Moonan, Matthew Moonan and Abigail Moonan. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Stephens Catholic Church with Deacon Bob Bridwell officiating.  There will be a reception for family and friends in the church reception hall, immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to St. Jude in memory of Holly.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com  Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
