Jackie Ray Langston, age 87 of Sanford, died Saturday (11/24/2018) at his home.  He was born on February 24, 1931, son of the late Gilbert Owen Langston and Cama Inza Hick Langston.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bill Langston, Wayne Langston, his sister Dalcie Kenyon, and his step-son Larry Bowles Sr. Jackie was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Graveside memorial services with military honors will be conducted at 2:00pm Thursday at the Broadway Town Cemetery with Rev. Garland Smith and Chaplain Darrell Harris officiating.  Surviving is his wife Virginia Campbell Langston of the home.  Sons Danny Ray Langston and Harold Gene Langston both of Tampa, Florida.  Step-children Cindy Jones of the home, Bobby Bowles of Newtonville, Massachusetts, Belinda Hobson of Olivia, NC and Michael Bowles of West Jefferson, NC.  Brother Carl Langston of Arkansas, fifteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
