Jacob David Gross, age 17 of Broadway passed away at his home on Wednesday (3/26/2025). Jacob was born in Winston Salem NC on October 24,2007, son of David Allen Gross and Barbara Annette Gross. Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Barbara Diaz. Jacob was a junior at Western Harnett High School. Jacob was gifted at art, and he enjoyed writing short stories. One of his favorite things to do was hanging out with his best friend Grae. Jacob had a very close relationship with his sisters and was known by the family as mom's favorite son. He enjoyed all types of gaming with his nephews Daniel and Christian. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday (4/4/2025) at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with Rev. Keith Owens officiating. He is survived by his parents, David Allen Gross and Barbara Annette Gross of the home. His maternal grandfather and Step-Grandmother Larry and Rebecca Truett of Moravian Falls, NC; Paternal Grandmother, Viva KlineSmith, of Walkertown, NC; Paternal Grandfather and Step-Grandmother,  Jack and Ardell Gross of Cedar Springs, MI.;  three sisters, Sarah Truett of Morrisville, NC,  Tiffany Flynn (Steve) of Glover Vermont and Cheyenne Gross of Broadway, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday (4/4/2025) at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway.
