Jacqueline O'Quinn "Jackie" Thomas, age 89 of Broadway, passed away on Thursday (4/6/2023) with her family by her side.  She was born December 16, 1933, daughter of the late D. Herbert O'Quinn and Flennie Hallman O'Quinn.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mack J. Thomas, grandson, Charlie B. Sloan IV, great grandson Chaz Sloan, great-granddaughter, Adalyn Meadows and siblings, Mack O'Quinn, Jimmy O'Quinn, Sammy O'Quinn. Michael O'Quinn, Cinda Turnage and Edna Wilson.  Jackie was a member of Juniper Springs Baptist Church and retired from Moen after many years of service.  One of Jackie's greatest blessings was her family.  She loved to cook and every Sunday, her family would gather for a meal together.  This tradition that was so important to her continues and now the meals are prepared by her children.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her.  Surviving is her son, Jamie Thomas (Renee) of Sanford.  Daughters, Donna Gendics (Joseph) of Sanford, NC, Lisa Suggs (Alan Crockett) of Broadway, NC and Susan Diggs of Sanford, NC.  Sister, Janet Childress of Lemon Springs, NC, nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00pm on Monday (4/10/2023) at Juniper Springs Baptist Church.  The funeral service will be at 2:00pm with Rev. Wayne O'Quinn and Rev. Eddie Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in the Broadway Town Cemetery.
