James Daniel McLeod, age 60 of Broadway, died Sunday (7/14/2013). He was born on August 9, 1952 in Lee County, son of the late Ernest William McLeod and Beatrice McLeod Hicks. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private memorial service will be held by the family. Surviving are his wife Melanie Upchurch McLeod of the home; Son Eddie McLeod of Broadway, NC; Sister Diane McLeod Daniels of Sanford, NC; Brothers Ernest McLeod and Dewey McLeod both of Sanford, NC; Half sisters Ruth Misklow of Hope Mills, NC and Sara Batts of Sanford, NC; Half brothers Eddie Hicks and Frank Hicks both of Sanford, NC; One grandson Lathan McLeod. The family will receive friends at the family home. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway
