James Mitchell "Mickey" Patterson, also know by "Hotdog" passed away on Saturday, June 20th, 2026.   Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, James Howard Patterson and Lois Hobson Patterson, and a brother, Charles "Wayne" McDonald.  Surviving is his son, Brandon Mitchell Patterson and his mother, Robin Suitt; and brothers, Jeff Patterson and Scott Patterson of Broadway, NC.  A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11am at the Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Yow officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service in the church sanctuary.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial gifts be made in Mickey's memory to the Holly Springs Baptist Church, 385 Holly Springs Church Road, Broadway, NC 27505.  Online condolences can be made at www.smithfuneralhomebroadway.com   Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home, Broadway Inc.
