James Russell Patterson, age 72 of Broadway passed away on Tuesday (11/2/2021) at Central Harnett Hospital. He was born in Lee County on September 6, 1949 son of James Thurman Patterson and Christine Womack Patterson. He was a graduate of Boone Trail High School. He was all around athletic. Being recognized all county and all state while playing at Boone Trail and with the American Legion team he was on. He enjoyed doing taxidermy. As well as playing golf and ping pong. James was preceded in death by his father James Thurman Patterson and his son Steven Michael Patterson. Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 AM on Friday (11/5/2021)at Holly Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Yow, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  He is survived by his mother, Christine Womack Patterson of Broadway, NC, His wife of forty-six year, Arlene Stewart Patterson of the home. Daughter, Holly Patterson (Miguel Quiros) of Orlando, Fla. Sister; Glenda P. Thomas (Larry) of Olivia, NC. Brother; Albert W. Patterson (Cathy) of Broadway, NC. Four grandsons; Dylan Michael Patterson, Blake Steven Patterson, Michael Quiros, Michael Quiros, II and one granddaughter Yekci Quiros.
